Financial Manager Excel
Financial Manager Excel (FME) is a handy tool which allows you to manage your finances with a few simple clicks. It is basically a driven by a simple excel sheet, and has a forms based user interface. It's so simple to use, that you will actually have fun managing your finances.
FME is especially useful for young bachelors who live in a shared house. I know from personal experience that managing the finances with more than two people in the house was a big headache. In fact that's exactly how FME came into existence in the first place.

Sure. Here are a few (click on the thumbnail to enlarge the image):
Even though I've been using the FEM for last 5 years, this is the first version I've released. Please so that I can further improve the application
The application size is just 250KB for downloading. However, since the data is stored in the excel, as you use it the file size will increase.
All you need is a decent computer with Excel 2003/2007. Please make sure Macros support is enabled.
Unfortunately not as of now! Since this is the first version, I am only releasing the version compatible with MS Excel 2003/2007. However, depending on the requests, I will eventually port it to OpenOffice Calc
If you like the Financial Manager Excel, you will surely like the Online Organiser.

Any person who either needs to pay you, or has already paid you can be considered as a member. A member is basically a house member who will contribute to the daily life expenditures. You can also put the names of temporary people (who owe you money, or whom you owe money) into the same excel, without effecting other members.
Just click on the 'Add New Member' button and follow the steps.
Click on the 'Delete member' button. All the members who can be removed from the excel will be listed. If a person does not have a zero (0) balance, he/she cannot be deleted.
A person can only be deleted if he/she has zero(0) balance. To list the person's name in the 'Delete Members' menu, please make sure his balance is 0 by either paying him (if he has positive balance) or getting money from him (if he has negative balance).
Click on the 'Add new Entry' button and follow the instructions.
This sheet stores the History of the transactions made in the current month. The sheet gets automatically updated every month/or when a member is added/deleted.
For modifying old entries, there is no form based interface. This is where the 'weird' colorful sheet I've talked about above comes in handy. If the entry you need to modify was made this month, the go to the "February2012" (the only sheet other than "Home") sheet and find the entry. If it's an older entry, find the appropriate sheet amongst the hidden sheets. Sometimes, you may find multiple sheets for the same month. These are created everytime a member is added or deleted.
Once you find the correct sheet, make the modification as required. Make sure you update both the credit and debit columns. For eg:
Say there are 5 members (A, B, C, D & E) in the excel. Say A paid $200 for all 5 of them. However, by mistake you entered $100. So goto the correct Worksheet, and update the $100 in A's CR (credit) column to $200. At the same time, also update the $20 in the DB(debit) columns of A, B, C, D & E to $40.
For deleting old entries, there is no form based interface. This is where the 'weird' colorful sheet I've talked about above comes in handy. If the entry you need to delete was made this month, the go to the "February2012" (the only sheet other than "Home") sheet and find the entry. If it's an older entry, find the appropriate sheet amongst the hidden sheets. Sometimes, you may find multiple sheets for the same month. These are created everytime a member is added or deleted.
Once you find the entry, make sure you delete the complete row and not individual cells.
Once a FME sheet is setup, it stores all your data. Hence deleting it to the starting condition is not an option. The best option would be to download a fresh copy from here.
