CITS4242 - Game Design & Multimedia Homepage
I have taken the CITS4242 unit at UWA in the second semester of 2010. There are rumors that this unit might be discontinued after this year. None the less, here I have made note of all the steps our team followed during the game design project.
About the Game
Game Concept
The concept is similar to the game Star Wars: Battlefront but set inside a human body. In our game a Virus is infecting a body and from a strategy perspective attacks and tries to infect key organs inside. On the other hand, the human immune system (Antigens) is trying to repel the virus
Players
The player can choose to play the game as a Virus or an Antigen.
Either playable faction will be able to choose an organ to attack/defend and once chosen the game switches to a first-person perspective and plays as a single virus/white blood cell and has to attack the enemy to try and remove them from the organ
Bases and Battles
There are different base stations in the body having different levels of complexity. Each station will be occupied entirely by Viruses or Antigens.
The aim of the game is to conquer and control all the base stations.
When two opposing armies meet on the strategic map a battle is trigged.
